Ismael Mylo Reyes
Ismael is a native of California, Ismael for the past eight years has been employed as a supervisor of Skycaps at John Wayne Airport in Irvine, California. He's the father of two sons age twenty and twenty one.
In addition to his supervising duties at the airport, he's studying with Lance Stokes of the Lance Stokes Racing Stables. Studying under Mr. Stokes, a well-known racehorse trainer, at the Santa Anita and Hollywood Park Race tracks. Ismael is gaining knowledge and expertise of the horse racing business.
Since early childhood watching his father a racehorse jockey, Ismael has had a love for horses. This love was realized in 1995 when Rey Enterprise Racing Stables, a family owned and operated business was established. As a direct result of the family business, Ismael had had an Owner's License for the past six years and is a member of the Owners Association. This license entitles him to buy, sell, breed and race Thoroughbred horses.
As a successful owner of the Thoroughbred "Bonnie Bumps", he has seen his horse come in 2nd three time at Los Alamitos racetrack in California. In September 2006, won with a Precocious Rene at Fairplex Park.
As an added inspiration for Ismael to pursue his dream, he was thrown the saddle clothe worn by "Chief's Crown", the winner of the very first race of the "Breeders Cup" by jockey Don MacBeth. He donated the clothe to the Don MacBeth Memorial Jockey Fund in 1997. Ironically, years later he was presented the framed Saddle Clothe by the Don MacBeth Foundation at the first race of his Thoroughbred at Hollywood Park racetrack in Inglewood, California. This special presentation was in honor of his dedication, determiniation and achievements in horse racing.
Ismael's goal today is to manage a racing stable that specializes in Thoroughbred racing. This would include buying, selling and claiming horses for his clients. His years of experience in the horse racing business qualify him to be an excellent selection to be your "West Coast" connection to the Thoroughbred Horse Racing Industry.
